Although Mateo has parted ways with MySpace and possibly Quddus, he remains hot. His new mixtape is basically covers of today's most popular music with his personal spin on it. Doubt is the first "single".
Jojo is the future. Everybody can hear this, except her label. If you guys heard the Jojo/Nasri stuff I've heard, you'd know what I mean. Blackground records' only success was Aaliyah, they've fumbled every artist (especially Toni Braxton and Tank) that they've had on their roster. Apparently Jojo is no exception. Regardless she remains one of the baddest vocalists in the game as highlighted on the More Than A Game Soundtrack and on Timbaland's Shock Value II. This new, smooth offering is just another reason why Blackground needs to sh*t or get off the pot so the world can be graced with this voice again.
J. Holiday channels and samples Prince in his latest offering. Not bad, not as good as Trey Songz, but not bad at all.
Marsha, Marsha, Marsha. Yet another artist who true R&B lovers are patiently waiting for. This ex-Floetry member is an amazing writer and a phenomenal singer. Yet we wait for a label to give her an album deal.
